Shares tumbled 12.4% after the drugstore chain and pharmacy benefit managers first-quarter adjusted earnings and revenue fell short of estimates and it cut its full-year profit outlook, citing higher medical costs. CVS expects adjusted earnings of at least $7 per share for 2024, down from previous guidance of $8.30 per share. Analysts were expecting $8.28 per share, according to LSEG.
